Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Jüri ("we", "our", "the app") is a diabetes and glucose management companion that helps you photograph meals for an AI nutrition and glucose-impact breakdown, log glucose readings, follow trends, and discover diabetes-friendly recipes. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: your email address and authentication credentials (if you create an account for cloud sync).
• Profile data: information you enter during onboarding, such as diabetes type, management method, glucose targets, and dietary preferences.
• Health data: glucose readings you log, meal photos you scan, and the resulting nutrition and J Score analyses.
• Usage data: anonymized events that help us understand which features are used (never linked to your identity).
• Consent records: the version of this policy and the Terms you agreed to, and when.

3. How we use your data

• To analyze your meal photos and return nutrition, glucose-impact, and J Score results.
• To log and chart your glucose readings and trends.
• To personalize recipes and tips to your profile.
• To sync your data across your devices when you enable cloud sync.
• To improve the app using anonymized, aggregated usage statistics only.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing profiling.

4. On-device storage & cloud sync

Jüri is designed to work offline-first. Your data is stored locally on your device by default. If you create an account, your profile, meals, readings, and settings are also stored in our cloud database (Supabase) protected by row-level security, so only you can access your rows.

5. Third-party processors

• Anthropic (Claude): meal photos are sent to the Anthropic API to generate the nutrition analysis. Images are used only to produce your result.
• Supabase: hosting for authentication and the synced database.
• Google Fonts: serves the fonts used in the interface.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR, UAE PDPL, and similar laws you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and all associated data — you can request this at any time from the delete account page. Deletion is completed within 24 hours.
• Withdraw consent at any time (the app will continue to work offline with local data).
• Export your data.

7. Data retention

Local data stays on your device until you clear it. Cloud data is kept while your account is active. When you request account deletion, all cloud data associated with your account is permanently removed within 24 hours.

8. Children's privacy

Jüri is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, ask for your consent again in the app.
